Coming home to Texas to shoot a wedding is the best.

Isn't it beautiful that God gives us the ability to be sentimental? He didn't have to give us memories. But He did. He allows us to look back on our life and declare that it was good.
What if we could never say "I heard that song on the radio the other day and thought of you and that perfect summer we shared"?
He allows us to capture a moment in time by taking a photograph. I love showing other people what fantastic things are around us.

I am thankful for a wonderful family that has always given me a place to call home.
I am thankful for the whole state of Texas. As soon as you cross that Red River, you can breathe eaiser. The country music sounds sweeter and the sunsets look brighter. Makes me want to listen to a song about Wide Open Spaces, Dirt Road Anthems and how all My Ex's Live in Texas.
I am thankful for a sweet friend named Lauren. Whenever we are both home, we visit McKinney and share some pie. Drink some coffee. Dig through expensive antiques and old book stores. Laugh about how crazy it is that we are in college and trying to decide what to do with our lives. We often dream about the next few years. She is dear to me and I have loved our long talks. Thank you for always being so supportive and understanding miss Lauren.
I am thankful for McKinney Texas. Classy little place. This store is called Patina Green and they ship some of their decorations in from England. And they sell the best stationary.
I am thankful for a new school year and a fresh start.
I am glad to be home.
Sarah and Ben are so full of Jesus.
I have known them both since freshman year. Our first weekend in college, Sarah and I set an oven on fire trying to make cupcakes. Not reallyyy on fire, but it was memorable. There was crust that spilled in the bottom and we ran around the house trying to open all the windows. We lived on the same dorm floor and we attend the same church. We have laughed & cried together. We have drunk a lot of coffee, played in the snow, written sermons, gone camping. We often talk about the goodness of God and how He is so trustworthy. She is one of the most talented, sweet, and hilarious people I know. She can draw people so well and capture the smallest details. She loves people because Jesus loves people.
and then Sarah met Ben Menge. Ben is awesome. He is talented. plays gutiar. cares about the church and God's people. *He's also a ninja with nunchucks. True story.*
and they fell in love.
Before they even began their relationship, Ben asked me an important question.
I was sitting in a church meeting in January 2013.
As our minister launched into a question about Ecclesiates, Ben type this into his iPad and handed it to me....
“Hey, Meegan. Would you take my engagement photos? Like in a few years?”
"Umm sure? Anything for you. Who's the lucky lady? For you Ben, it will be a million bucks...jk."
Little did I know, that sweet lady would be my best friend: Sarah Elizabeth Pattullo.

I am so excited to share this wedding! I have known Madeline since freshman year of college and we have shared so many good conversations together. She is genuine, sweet, beautiful, and absolutely organized. She also has the most perfect red hair in the entire world. I am so thankful for her encouragement and her sweet spirit.
Bryan and Maddie got married in Lifehouse, a goregous building just off Main street in Joplin. My dear friend Katie Hargrove runs a kid's afterschool care program at Lifehouse and she ministers to the families of the neighborhood.

Bryan has played baseball most of his life and he wanted to take some photos at the field in Landreth. I have always wanted to take wedding photos on a baseball diamond....and this couple nailed it.
